Manufacture defect on the wire connector for the alternator...
For the AUX connection, the AUX connection is signal wires to the PCM to allow charging and power control of the alternator as well as voltage detection.
this applies to all models of GM cars that use the same connector for the AUX connection on the alternator so basically all the GM cars that use the 3.4 or 3.8L engine.
apparently there is a Manufacture defect on the wires connector for the Alternators AUX connection ..
If you are having electrical issues
The poorly crimp wires would come loose over time causing many issues.
i.e No start,
Random dimming of headlights and other lights upon load
Dead Battery, charging issues ,
Sagging voltages upon load (basically draws power from the battery instead)
Possibly security light as well (since it does not like random drops in voltages)
Premature failure of electrical equipment. ( most electronics like stable voltage )
Cause stalling of the engine ? (no electrical power to run the electronics in the engine such as ignition coils and fuel injectors ) once the battery has been depleted
check the AUX connector on the alternator.
if the wires seem loose you will need to tape them down with electrical tape
so they are not moving around from the vibration...
I nearly bought a replacement alternator and battery for nothing because of it.. ouch i would have spent 200$ for nothing.
