I have a 2003 Impala LS. Both of the lights that illuminate the hot/cold temperature sliders are out. My understanding is they are soldered on the board? Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to fix this? Does this happen a lot? Also what kind of replacement bulbs did you use/recommend and where did you purchase them?

I appreciate the feedback.

Yes they are soldered in.
I'm sure I have a write up somewhere.

Replacing the factory bulbs with factory bulbs are pretty easy. (IMO)

A lot, ehhh I see a lot of them. You cant buy replacement stock bulbs. You can replace with other bulbs or use LED.

If you need more info, email me.

just don't use a soldering iron the plugs directly into the mains those don't work very well

soldering is very easy to do
I fixed both of my FOBs as the battery connectors were damaged as well saving me 30$!
