http://www.tripleedgeperformance.com/ are pretty much the best transmissions out there for our cars. Not sure what seals they use but I believe it's all on their website.

I'd still have my Monte Carlo if I had gone with a Triple Edge transmission. Instead, I got a shoddy rebuild that blew up twice in 6 months...

reading through their site and i like the fact they truly seem to know the 4t65e pretty dang well. With the drivetrain build for my SS beginning soon I've been searching for a good performance transmission. Until now i had my eyes on this fella: http://www.3800performance.com.....ct_Count=0 mainly for the options available, particularly the limited slip differential. Now i'm stuck deciding between the two. Any tips, advice guys? Ill start a new thread if i get a response or two

How did that work out? Just a fly-by-night trans shop that wouldn't honor their deal?

I think the problem was their transmission guy was an older guy ready to retire. His online manual listed the wrong volume for the trans fluid refill for a dry transmission, so he underfilled the transmission by about 4 quarts. I drove it for about 2 days before I noticed the problem, but it had already chewed itself up. He rebuilt it again and I was convinced didnt do anything about the torque converter because it started shuddering almost immediately after I got it back.

I took it in and I think he ended up putting in a junkyard transmission, but by then I didn't care as long as it ran well enough to take it to Carmax and sell it.

I have nothing but good things to say about the guys at TEP. I emailed them asking them questions about a problem I was having with mine and they really wanted to help get it fixed. There was none of this you didn't buy the transmission from us crap.
