When those items start to fail, you can have a sweet smell of coolant in the cab.

I had that smell in my car for a week before the heater core blew out & left a puddle on the passenger carpet. But for that week, there was no leak. Since I'm in Florida, I just bypassed the core, but seeing 245 KM, you might be in Canada, & can't do that. Good luck. GARY

You add the coolant to the overflow tank. After the car is driven, & the engine cools down, it sucks the coolant into the radiator. GARY
