I purchased the assembly from Rockauto Moog #513179 in May 2014 and it's bad already. I had one replaced by the dealer under warranty 4 years ago and it's still going strong. I'm getting the Moog part replaced under warranty, but for my future bearing needs I think I'll be using the dealer.

Stick with SKF, and remember to torque the axle nut. By not torqueing the axle nut bad things happen.

I use the torque wrench on all the repair I do, even on the wheel lugs and I make the tire shop use a torque wrench as well.

Just FYI, OEM hubs have come WAY down in price. GM is trying to be more competitive on their pricing to compete with the aftermarket. And from me they're even better. Laughing

Kissmyss,... your price on a GM hub, $115 plus shipping.

The replacement should be here tomorrow, I plan to keep the SS for a while and want the replacement parts to last. Thanks's "Z" for the pricing, if this one doesn't hold up you'll be hearing from me.

It's about time. They were smoking crack with their pricing before.

Yup. Checking sales history,... GM suggested retail a year ago was $330.

So did I...just not for hubs apparently. ScottIMPala went through several Moog hubs under warranty as well and recommended against them.

For AC Delco hubs?

Yes,.. for original equipment, AC Delco hubs. Some less common applications can vary in price though. Like the 2000 and early 2001 models that used a different design of harness clip. Those still run about $400.

I guess they finally realized people are willing to pay a premium over aftermarket parts, but triple or quadruple the price.

Alright, another question: Do ABS hubs work with non-ABS Impalas?

It should mount the same, but you'll need to figure out what to do with the harness off the hub. Laughing
