well yesterday i was talking my boy (3 year old) for a ride and i was getting on it pretty hard. got to the barbershop about 1 mile away from the house and i notice steam rising from under the hood on the passengers side. popped the hood and noticed my belts and pulleys were wet and it smelt like antifreeze. didnt really get a good look at it and since my temp gauge is broken during cold weather for some reason idk what my temps were.

after we got his hair cut i took the imp home but being easy on here cause i didnt know how much longer she had. went inside and took a nap to let the car cool down but by time i woke back up it was dark noticed a slight puddle on the ground and the coolant level was good in the rad. the over flow i didnt look at. not that im giving up on her i know i havnt even looked real good at what could be the problem but whats on that side that could leak like that? water pump, rad hose and heater core hose?

Do you have a 3.8? The coolant elbows could have broken, but I'm not entirely sure how big of a mess they make. Just a suggestion for what it's worth.

it might not be as bad as i thought hopefully. i noticed the overflow tube looked wet and maybe cracked, so i took it off and cut the old end off. once i put it back on the OEM hose clamp wouldn't squeeze the rad nipple hard enough and it would slide right off. havent noticed any steam

The throttle body gasket on the L67 is fiber-based (think thick paper) with rubber gasket material molded into it and has a tendency to get old and fail. The L36 doesn't have the same problem because it uses a rubber gasket.

I am running a TB spacer on mine and just used a bunch of black RTV silicone and let it dry for a day rather than putting another gasket on when mine blew four or five years ago and it's been fine since. It gets a lot of heat because the exhaust crossover is right below it.

In short, coolant flows through the throttle body to keep ice from forming when it is cold out.

i saw coolant sitting on the intake right under the superchargers pulley nose. of course it was all over the place on the passengers side. i was tired from work last night so i filled it back up and drove it home. but it seamed to be hissing right on top above the water pump so i could of even been the water pump.

im going to clean her all up and let her run to see if i can find the leak today of coarse it was almost 50 yesterday and today its 25

Well went out to the car filled it back up with antifreeze and let her warm up
all looked good till she went into close loop (engine rpms dropped after 5 or so minutes, just guessing) it started to leak bad right on top of the supercharger gasket

is there a write up on supercharger removal and all tools/parts needed?

could it be just the nose gasket? (if there is coolant there)

nother question since i have to take off the supercharger. is there any performance mods i can do while im in there? what about a intercooler?

after lookng at this gasket i dont see a water jacket on the left (passengers side) side of the gasket

seams signs point to lim gasket and its just pooling up and running to that area. so intake is not coming off also.

well i tore her apart and when it came time to clean the intake i noticed the "blocked" water jacters had eaten into the
by time i cleaned up all the corrosion i had a little hole on the top side of the intake. i have other pictures but photobucket didnt automatically upload them. welded it back up and slapped her back on and it fixed the major leak but the small leak is still there coming from the radiator cap area. so its either the overflow hose is cracked or the radiator is cracked
