I just installed led turn signals on front and rear in my 04. Is there a way to stop them from hyper flashing without using load resistors? I thought I could use a led flasher relay but it doesn't seem like we can on these cars. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure what a led flasher relay is, but I have led turn signals in the back of mine with wire resistors tapped in and it works. they're not expensive and not hard to do.

I can't remember what I have, probably 3 ohm, because I had them all the way around on my ion which burnt up but was able to salvage the rear bulbs. If u have them all around that's what u need.

Very very interesting... I've been looking into LEDs for a while now, but too intimidated by the whole resistor thing. These look real nice. Very Happy

use the lumen gauge on v-leds site. I've replaced just about every bulb on my car with their bulbs and found their gauge pretty accurate. The taillights I installed (and had/have on two cars now) I bought from them because I wanted something bright to shine through tinted tails, and they shine through with no problem.

Yep, I once bought LED bulbs for my tails, because I needed something brighter to shine through my tinted lights. The so called "super bright" lights were in fact dimmer overall than stock bulbs because they focused light instead of dispersing it. Not even worth adding resistors to stop the hyper flash so I returned them the very next day. Never again Snooty

I turned away from led bulbs for tail lights. I have led for my reverse lights and they are bright, yessir Laughing But my complaint was lack of light output through my tinted tails, now I have a set of SS lights with the covers. light output at night is awesome Cool I can see out my rear window while backing up despite having 5% tint Very Happy

Couple more pics-
First one is a pic from a snow storm last year, just wanted to show the tails not only shining through the tint- but the snow as well!

Second one i took just the other night. Just a normal one to show how they look:

How many coats of tint did you spray on and which bulbs did you use? Have to admit, shining through the snow like that.... I'm impressed Clap

I had my tails professionally done at the same time that I had my windows done. They used film. Not sure the %.

I think this might be what I have:
