I apologize for asking something that I know has already been answered, but my search only had one result - for the 3800...

Anybody know where I can find a scan or write-up for replacing the UIM and throttle body on the 3400?
It looks like something I can do, but I don't want to f**k everything up Laughing

The easiest way to remove is the upper intake and TB. Remove them together. There is a nut under the tb that holds the bypass coolant hose (metal) to the TB. Take that out plus the electrical connections, and there are 2 coolant hoses that run thru the tb, undo and replace the rubber hoses. There is an alternator bracket that needs to be un done, and the map sensor on the back held in by a vacuum hoses and 2 7mm bolts. On the back of the uim, there will be botls holding in the ignition module bracket and spark plug wires as well.

And almost forgot, there is an egr tube somewhere in the mix. I have done a handful of these, should take you 30 min or less.
