My cluster is reading 15.2 volts is this normal ?

it stayed that way for 5min then went to the normal range of 14.6v

I turned on the rear defroster to drop it to the normal range from 15.2

Its possible, you need to take the reading at the battery with multimeter. Even then take it off and have it tested at the local autoparts store to make sure of the voltage output. Your voltage regulator may be on the fritz.

most time yes but it wont come with a warranty and its in the alternator. so if you replace the whole unit it will have a warranty
