went out to gas up the impala today , started up and lil battery light stayed on w/ the 4 dings. on way home the turn signals were hyper flashing. i checked the flasher button, they flashed normal. no bulbs are burnt out . i' ve had some problems getting the high beams on an off is why i'm thinking maybe something with the MFSwitch.
any thoughts are apperciated. Thanks

check this very important ground wire first . this wire is for the horn(alarm) signals and headlights etc..... also the e-lights have another wire path which is why they work correctly.(redundancy )

for rust / corrosion on it it's right above the headlight on the driver side this is a major ground wire

Sounds likes two unrelated problems. If the high beams won't stay on, you are in need of a new MFS. The flashing issue is like a bad hazard switch.

sure the battery was ok but the alternator was not charging it correctly.

at lest now it's something to add to the check list of things to check before replacing parts.

on a truck website 73-87 trucks, which if you cant tell i love lol. one guy was saying his turn signals were only blinking on the inside of his cab (indicators) on the outside nothing was blinking. couldnt figure it out, out of the blue he says he might have a bad alt. replaced it and fixed the problem. could of been a bad connection but who knows
