Does anybody know if there is anyone who offers precision-cut adhesive tape for the Impala emblems?

I know I can find some sort of adhesive myself - but I ain't too proud to admit that trying to cut it to fit the emblems myself would be an unmitigated disaster Laughing

TIA Smile

no one makes it, you'll have to do it yourself or buy new emblems

Did you end up using an exacto to cut double sided tape around the emblem, Five0two? I acquired the door script emblems and plan to slap em on after I paint them black. If it held up well when you did yours, I'll try with mine

I know this doesn't pertain to your question, but where did you acquire the door scripts emblems at?

Haven't done 'em yet, but this is the stuff I'll be using: Emblem tape @ O'Reillys

Also, I don't currently have an X-Acto, so I'll probably end up using a combination of scissors and Uncle Henry Laughing

I paid a visit to a junkyard and pulled the emblems off of a silver LS that had them, I will be painting them black and then installing them on my car Very Happy

Ok, well if I happen to finish mine before you, ill post pictures and tell you how it went for me. Or if you do it before i do and you shed some tips, that would be great too

True, many are for sale on eBay, but the price I got the pair for is less than the average for a single emblem

I really wish I knew someone that could paint car parts for me.

That's how I felt at first. I figured if I wanted to make my car look how I wanted to, I'd have to learn to paint. I'm not a pro, but I'm good enough to make my paint jobs come out pretty good now

Sometimes you just gotta teach yourself Smile

I know what you mean, but I'm just too impatient with the process. Laughing

I'm impatient as well. That is why I skip the sanding and priming part of the process when I can. I just really clean the smaller parts I have been working with and paint over them (sshhhhhh......don't tell anyone my secret haha) Hide but if it came down to, say, painting a body panel, then yeah I'd have it done the right way by someone else

I know my way is frowned upon, but all the painted pieces on my car (excluding the crappy plastidip) have held up fine for over a year now

Bump! I finally got around to adding the door script emblems on my car the other day, Five0two. I didn't use the tape though, instead I used http://www.autozone.com/sealan.....16901_0_0/
caution: this stuff can get pretty messy
