Found a few tire sizes that should acceptably replace the stock 16's. But will they rub?

Size | ??? | Variance

215 50 18 | 6 - 8 | -0.62 %
215 55 18 | 6 - 8 | 2.56 %
225 50 18 | 7 - 8 | 0.86 %
235 50 18 | 8 - 9 | 2.34 %
245 45 18 | 8 - 9 | 0.19 %
255 45 18 | 8 - 9 | 1.52 %
265 45 18 | 9 - 10 | 2.85 %

No idea what the center column is...

Does anybody run any of these sizes? Any recommendations?

Center column is recommended wheel width size in inches. 245/45R18 is the best fit, but the 06+ 18" wheels are too narrow to fit in the recommended wheel width. I have personally run 235/50R18s, but they rub for some folks on the rear strut plates when new.

Awesome, thanks for the input Smile

Now to find some nice 18x8 wheels...

Maybe I should just go with the American Racing Splits like I had on the '06 Razz
(I remember somebody around here with a 7th Gen had them... need to find the pics)

I just remembered a problem I had with the Splits - the lug holes are tiny.
So the socket had to have very thin walls - I ended up twisting it completely off, leaving a ring of metal around the lug, deep in the lug well. Serious PITA.
Maybe it was just a cheap socket, I don't know.

Splits are out of production anyways...
American Racing has the following that I like. If anybody else knows of a good affordable 5-spoke from another manufacturer, let's hear it Smile

I like the Maverick

Torque Thrusts look awesome, but it seems to be the "go to" wheel and they are on every other car. Thats why I havent gotten a set for the Monte. Go to a show and 50% of the cars are sporting them

I guess I'll have to redefine what the word "ricer" means in my book... Rolling Eyes

I agree. I've seen people use it on wheels personally and it just looks dull and like crap. It also make it look as if you have clean the brake dust off your wheels in 10 years. Laughing
