Hello guys! Question: is it normal for the warning lights in your instrument cluster to be flashing when you turn the key to the ACC position? Car is an 04 LS. everything is normal on OFF, On and Start, but if i turn the key to the ACC position the lights flash like crazy.

Warning lights, like seat belt, check engine. the same warning lights that light up when the key is in ON position. after the car starts everything is normal. this flashing only happen when key in ACC position. One thing i noticed is that the ACC wire from stereo ( aftermarket) is connected to brown wire on ignition switch, i'm not sure if that's causing the problem. Thank you.

Just went down to my 05 to test this. With the key turned at ACC, only the battery light comes on. However when I turn the key one more click to run, all the warning lights come on. GARY

Thank you Gary. Does your battery light flash when you turn the key to ACC? I'm gonna have to disconnect the stereo acc wire from the ignition switch and connected to the fuse panel.

the other day my cluster went crazy as well

Flashing Hazard and solid
Everything else going crazy gauges and other lights on the cluster.,high beam out
low beam out , hyper flash...

that time it turned out to be a loose wire in the driver side turn signal

this happened after taking the air box out to change the fan

so i have to say it could be anything you never know with this car

Thank you for your reply Impala 03. I'm glad you found the solution for your problem. I've been chasing this drain in my battery for a long time with no success it can be the ignition switch or bcm but I've read in other post people replacing bcm's and igniton switches and that didn't fix the problem. The last thing i need to do now is to check the bcm connections and checked inside for a bad solder or something. Like you said, it could be anything. Cheers!!!!
