I broke my engine mounts

also the nuts and bolts are not getting tight they just slip and keep turning.

Sad I don't know what to do

should I just take it to the salvage yard? Sad and be done with it

every time I start it up I hear a loud clunking nose (obviously from the Engine Torque Strut Mounts)

I'm not mad at my friend for breaking them (when he help me change out the rad) since they are the ORIGINAL mounts and they don't last for ever
(the car has 151k miles on these mounts)...

and that passanger side was close to failing anyways

There are four bolts that hold the mount onto the radiator frame and the bolt and nut that hold the "dog bone" onto the mount. When you are turning the bolt that holds the dog bone onto the mount you should be holding the nut with a wrench as well.

You could probably change both of them in about 20 minutes total with a 13mm wrench. I believe the long bolt and nut are both 15mm. Either replace the bushings with ZZP poly bushings, or replace the entire mount. If you go shopping for them, I believe they are technically called engine torque mounts.

No reason to junk your car over a fix that will probably cost you only $60.

Torque strut mounts are $17.43 each on Rockauto...go to rockauto.com and search for part number 3088. Westar part number EM3088 is even cheaper at $10.74 but they only have three left.

I would go for this. Seems like a good deal. Hell I might get them if you don't want to.

i'll get them waiting on my best offer to expire do they accept paypal?

that site is tricky seems they make up for it on the shipping costs since they don't offer flat rate box option. even thought I would accept a small mark up of the shipping to cover CC or paypal fees

If the shipping is too expensive, you can always go to a local parts store and have them order them for you, wait several days, and pay probably $25-30 each (if not more) for the mounts...just saying.

If you want to order parts and pay less and get free shipping, take the part numbers and search for them on Amazon and look at super saver shipping, but it can/will take up to two weeks to get stuff.
