I have replaced the 2 rear lines to where they attach on the left rear of my 2005 impala. i have found it vary difficult to get a good bubble flare as my impala seems to have both bubble flare/iso flair and the double flare. anyone have any tips on making a bubble flare ?
I have these 2 tools
1. amzn.com/B0015PMZMU have had 2 useable flares out of this out of like 50
2. amzn.com/b00edn3vpq 0 of the flares from this even remotely look like a bubble flare
I'm almost ready to buy something like this amzn.com/B002QBRHD4
for $262 so anyone that has any good info would be appreciated.
there's lots of misinformation online such as a bubble flare is half a double flare witch doesn't look at all like a bubble flare
Posted four hours prior to your post. I recommended the OTC 6502 tool.
Practice on some scrap line and use brake fluid as a lubricant while you are flaring. Depending on how close the last bend is to the flare, you may need to flare the line first and then bend it afterwards.

i always did the brake fluid thing and have Practiced quite a bit, still can only get a halfway decent flare after like 5 or 6 attempts. I have tried with steel brake line as well as the nickel copper stuff.
the OTC 6502 looks vary much like what I have, witch is the OTC 4504 Stinger ISO Bubble Flaring Tool Kit.
