i know mine would stop working or take a while to spin up to speed it was the blower motor. the one i got from autozone was loud. now it will spin full speed then die, but only for a second then spin full speed again

i would think its the motor. something you can try is remove it keep it plugged in turn the key to on. and turn the fan control on. if it doesnt spin give it a spin by hand. it will fight you if you spin it the wrong way. but if you can jump start it by hand then it spins up to speed its a bad fan

Or just unplug the electrical connector from the fan motor, & connect it directly to 12 volts to make sure it works. That's how I tested the used one I picked up at the U-pick. GARY

if you give it power via a 12v drill battery then you bypass the switch. if yours works that way then you know its not the motor. if it still doesnt work remove the fan motor and add power and spin it by hand see if you can jump start it. if you can then the motor is week.

If the weatherstrip under the cowl slips off, the the rain water can take out the blower motor. Check to see if the w/strip is still in place, or do the upgrade. The part is under $5. GARY

Yes, I would suggest you buy genuine AC Delco parts for your car, but there are plenty of places to buy them for a lot less $ than a dealer. Here in Florida we have the Bennett Auto Supply chain of stores, as well as Parts House, & Tropical Int'l. They all stock the complete AC Delco line of parts, & I'm sure there are similar vendors near you. Good luck. GARY
