Did GM stop adding the cd changer harness in the back at some point? I was looking into it but I could only spot what looked like the sunroof harness and another bigger 16 pin harness. And there aren't two disconnected cables under the carpet in the front either. (I was following the how tos on impalaHQ - the ones in the trunk are close together, clipped in on the passenger side where the cd changer harness would be dangling)

Unplugging the 16 pin harness disabled the sunroof. And I found +12v and Gnd on the male side. That's as far as I got.

I've been looking for pinouts of these mysteries with no luck. But I'll keep searching.

I wonder what amperage the 12VDC+ wire can handle I think 5amps would be the max.

It's all 16-18ga wire so probably not much. If you're interested they were the wires at opposing corners... top left, bottom right (just to give you the idea...)

Was it an obvious find? I'm pretty sure mine doesn't especially as there wasn't anything under the glove box. I guess I'll find out regardless when I get around to finish painting the trim.
