I just bought a 2004 with a few minor issues.

The remote mirror button doesn't move the mirror for either side, except for up. The pass side will move in UP direction but no other. The drivers side will just barely twitch in the up direction, but nothing in any other direction.

Does this sound like a bad switch or something else?

Drivers side heated seat doesn't work either. :/

If both mirrors have the same problem it's probably an issue with the switch.

Thx for the replies. I haven't had any time to even look at the car yet so I was trying to gather tips to optimize my repair time. Smile
I didn't think it would be the fuse because it does move a little in the up position but I will check it.

Shouldnt be a fuse because there is movement. If it was totally dead then yes.

Switch is toast. You can try to open it up and clean the contacts, they get corroded over time. Especially the drivers door due to being used most and rain getting into the panel when door is opened in the rain.

Otherwise, you can replace the assembly

Thread is about mirrors. If it is moving at all, that means there is power to it, therefore it cant be the fuse.

I would think a high power device like that would have it's own fuse.

Just to add..Sometimes a mirror that has not been moved a lot needs a litttle helping hand. Try putting a little presure on the glass with your thumb and hitting the switch at the same time.
