The lenses on my headlights are very badly clouded and I'm looking for some replacements. Are any of the aftermarket assemblies worth buying or should I stick with GM parts? Does anyone know a good place to buy them?

Thanks

GM headlamps have come WAY down in price over the past few years for certain models. I still sell to NAIOA members at wholesale, and can get them for you...

About $170 each, plus shipping.

$170 each?! I bought a set off Ebay about 2 years ago for about $120 for the pair and no problems since.

Thanks for the help guys. But after reading so many people having issues with aftermarket lights fogging up I think I'll get some originals from z-spot.

And ironically it is the OEM lights that are fogged up in the first place. Wink

From what I've seen ALL headlights can fog up over time.

Personally I would never spend $340 on headlights. I only problem I have with mine are a fitting issue with the driver side after I thrashed the fender and had to have it replaced. Sad

Don't mean to thread jack, but I'm also looking to replace headlights, due to hazing. Headlight restore kit, made it worse. For 170 each for OEM are the halos a viable replacement? Reliability? Brightness,? Amazon has a set of OEM style for like 100. Are halos plug and play? Hopefully these questions help the OP also.

When I said fogging I meant moisture inside the housings. I've never had this problem with my factory headlights. I replaced them because the plastic lenses were clouded/hazy. My originals lasted over ten years. If my next set lasts that long I think the cost is justified.

moisture can be from a bad vent. The lights are vented to help with the moisture. Check to make sure nothing is blocking or clogging a vent

Where they are, I dont know. You'll have to pull one and check it out

In the past, they were wired incorrectly and needed some work out of the box. Maybe someone who has purchased more recently can chime in.

I bought direct replacement lights from RockAuto, were DEPO brand. Couldnt tell the difference between the OEM and aftermarket except the Mopar logo was missing
