A little history for those that don't know.
I started NAIOA back in 2001 when I first bought my 02 LS. With absolutely ZERO aftermarket support, I created The North American Impala Owners Association to use as letterhead when writing to companies. It gave me a much larger presence and figured that would entice them to produce items for these cars.
After posting on various AOL chat rooms, people started asking about "joining", so I made an AOL webpage for the NAIOA. We held our first meet in Rockville, MD and we were off.
In 2002 I met Jourdan (blackf0rk) who wanted to help take the club mainstream. He built us a professional site and forum, for this I made him a co-owner of the club.
In 2004 we met Perry (BBEngineer) who had the skills to take us even further. He designed the software for this forum and he became the 3rd partner in this quest.
We launched the NAIOA Shop in 2005 and the club started to grow into the largest W-Body Impala site. Others came and went throughout the years, but we held strong. We even had our own line of Cold Air Intakes!!!!
In 2007 Perry and I bought out Jourdan and we became the sole owners.
It's now 2014, we've been through 2 body changes and 1 platform change. Many sub models have come and gone. We have made lots of friends and shared many photos and ideas.
I'd like to thank everyone for their years of support and hope you will join us in the Facebook group
Jesus created the internet and puppies and dandelions and kittens and sunny days and lollipops and impalas and turbochargers and pizza and beer and wings and boobies and blowjobs and pizza and pizza and pizza and beer and snow days and football and cheerleaders and drag radials and nascar and everything else that's awesome.
It's hard to find retards of this quality in such masses. It's truly amazing.
NOOO this saddens my heart deeply... My first car forum, my first car, the place that gave me courage to actually do things to my car by myself is going offline. I would like to thank everyone, especially those who have helped me gain knowledge, for such a great site.
Thank you to the admins for running it so long and making it such a great atmosphere to learn and read about the w-body. Gonna miss the mounds of information here.
Saw the news on facebook and I felt like I needed to post at least one more time to this forum. This was my first ever car forum that got me into the car scene and has sparked my passion for cars ever since. I have met a lot of great people here and on other sites, some I still talk to regularly. I know it sounds a bit cheesy but im glad to have been a part of this community. For memories sake I dug up some dash plaques scott made up for the maryland meets. Its crazy the first show I went to with NAIOA was 9 years ago!

2004 Chevrolet Impala - Sold
Although, I suppose the writing has been on the wall. This was the first car forum that I actually joined. I joined right around the end of NAIOA's heyday. I remember logging on once a day and seeing two entire pages of new posts in the "Latest Posts" list. But, as people sold their cars and moved on, now it's lucky to see five new posts in that list.
It's too bad, really. Of all the car forums I'm part of now (all six of 'em), this one has always had the biggest sense of community.
