I found an 04 SS Indy edition for 4k with 130K on it. Only known issue is the dash cluster. The boost gauge doesn't seem to work, the temp and tach can be erratic. Now does this sound like a BCM issue to use guys or just needs a new cluster? It just had the MAF sensor replaced so that might explain the boost gauge? It also had a brand new chev crate tranny in at 100k. New front hubs, New brakes and tires all around. That'sall the info I've got. Please let me know any ideas you may have ASAP, I'll be picking up the car on Saturday ideas depending. And yes I tested locking with the fob and it works fine, that's a super common BCM issue.

Thanks again guys!

Needs the stepper motor replaced
then the boost gauge will work.

I agree. I would look into smaller and easier solutions first.

Ok, well I haven't bought the car yet. Does the cluster run through the BCM? Does the stepper motor cover all issues? What are the chances it's something more major?

on my imp the temp usually points straight down the fuel will do what ever it wants the tach doesnt read right. i think the boost, volt, oil and speedo are the only things working right

I doubt its the BCM, that usually causes issues throughout the car. You are looking at a cluster or cluster repair

I'm getting it for 4,500 with 137k on it. Tranny was replaced with a brand new crate tranny from gm at 100k and it's an Indy. .

The craziest part, the guy I'm buying it from is a newly retired nuclear physicist. He is kinda kooky like one would hope, and dude is F'ing loaded.

And don't feel bad, I still have my 01 LS that needs a new motor and a severe cleaning.
