Who on this forum installed front Strut Tower Brace using Don's alluminum brackets?
In particular on the 2000-2005 7-th Gen Impala ?

Does your hood close properly? Does it rub against the brace bar?

It seems to me that without the brackets the bar will be fine, but with the brackets it may be a bit too high for the hood to close properly.
I don't wanna drill holes but also don't want to strain the hood hinges if it doesn't close properly

It works fine. We have had many members use Don's brackets with great success. The only W-bodies with issues are the LS4 equipped cars that require a modified STB to fit around the alternator.

No problem on my 05. No rubbing, & the bar clears the huge cop alternator. GARY

Thanks Gary. So, you did used Don's brackets right?
Is your car LS, or base?

Base Impala, 9C3 car, Don's brackets front & rear. The rear bar makes the BIG difference. GARY

No problems with my 05 base either. I agree with 9C3 on the rear bar.
