Im a fan of Michelin. Although I have never used it on the Impala when I had it, I use it on my Mercedes as well as on my R1. Thats really the only brand of tire I buy.

I only drive the SS during the summer months, so they should last longer than 45k.

Why go with an all season when you drive only in summer? You'll get better performance out of a true summer tire, no matter what the Michelin sponsored videos show you. LOL

I agree with Z, if you only drive it during the summer, Id get summer tires for it.

Make that three votes for a true summer tire. No sense in compromised performance of all season tires when the car will never see snow/ice.

Ok, then what's a good summer tire that performs well in the rain? That's what I'm really looking for.

Looks like TireRack still has some BFG KDW 2's left. They perform great, but get noisy. They are discontinued though so if you murder one, it may be hard to get another down the road.

On the cheaper side, you could look at a Dunlop DZ102. It's fairly new and I haven't sold any yet. The specs seem legit though.
