Hey everyone, it has been quite a while. We moved about a year ago, and I have been working non stop. I am on here once again because I am having an issue that I cannot figure out. It seems to be when I first start the car up. About a mile down the road, and the battery light and parking brake light come on for like 2 seconds then go away and the car is fine. I have checked alternator under load, and at idle. at idle its charging around 14.8volts, and under load it may drop to like 14.6. I dont under stand. Possibly voltage dropping for a second when engine speed drops. Anyone had similar problems? Thanks in advance! -Matt

Stupid question: have you made sure the battery terminals are clean and tight?

Terminals are clean aftermarket brass terminals. Here is the weird part I unhooked the battery and then hooked it back up to make sure it was good connection. battery was unhooked for say 15 mins. This was a about 5 days ago, the problem didn't happen till this morning again.

There is a ground wire off the negative cable that gets "crusty." I learned that here Cool Its not easy to reach, but cleaning it up fixed a dimming light problem I had. Worth a look, especially if your battery voltage is good.
