Radio has always worked.

Starting yesterday, the sound just cuts out...radio power is not interrupted...just the sound stops for anywhere from 5-10 minutes, then starts again without issue or static???

Any ideas?

Little more info, can you predict when it's going to happen, ex. Does it make a certain noise right before it's about to got out? Is it only on the radio function or does it happen with the CD player to and is it the stock radio or aftermarket?

I've had my car for over ten years and never had an issue...but then again, I don't have an amp in mine (factory or otherwise). I would start looking there by wiring up an amp bypass.

haven't tried a cd.

stock radio.

no amp.

check engine light is on, but that is common and the regular fixes have not found the issue on that.

is weird...does not static or change with any button pushing on the radio or on/off...but then will start again out of the blue...has been very cold here for a long time...

Check the connector on the driverside of your rear windshield, make sure it's seated properly.

As far as the check engine light, I think Autozone or other similar stores will scan and give you the code for free (in the US). That will go a long way in troubleshooting.

the factory amp is in the trunk

My cuts out sometimes but it's the radio station since when I change the station it works but not when i change it back it does not

so I suspect it's the radio station and not the amp or radio

so the sound is still coming in and out...more out than in...the cd works, but then stops in the same fashion.

would seem to be a wiring issue somewhere, but the amp seems to still work, but just cuts out completely whenever it wants.

no obvious wiring issue...

please give ideas?

thanks,
