I put some Alpine 2-ways in the front. I used the 2 wires from the stock 6.5",and left the stock tweeter intact. That is obviously is not the right approach,as the sound is greatly diminished up front and playing with the aftermarket fader doesn't really help at all.
I have Alpines in the rear deck, the 400W Pioneer monoblock amp (that I bought from iffyG),and a Kicker 10" sub.HU is a Clarion. It sounded good before, and I assumed the Alpines in the front would sound even better.

Point me in the right direction, please. Confused

Thanx

Did you match the ohms of the factory speaker to your new ones?

What an idiot! As soon as I read your reply I stood up and kicked myself in the AZZ.
It never even crossed what's left of my mind. Embarassed

I'm sure that's the problem. I'll pull 'em and find out for sure soon. I traded a buddy an extra hand-grinder for 'em and didn't even think about it. Just slapped 'em in.

Not a big deal, however. I'll remedy the situation one way or another.

Thanx
