I may have put this up before, but because I have just done it again, and it works 100% I'll do it again. In Canada its $289 a year for the safe and sound package. On my first year I paid it, no question, did not speak to anyone. The second year I called them, said think I'll let this go its costing to much. Oh wait sir one moment pls. Sir I can give you the same deal for $189. So from then on I call yearly and ask, what kind of deal are you going to give me this year. Just hoping to save someone some $$$ Wink

I did the same thing. Got discounted rates year after year.
Then after a couple of years OnStar stopped and said "Sorry sir, we can't help you." Never used the system anyway so for me, it was not a tearful departure.

Since then, I actually disconnected OnStar altogether. Battery died and I never bothered to replace it.

The same thing works for XM. They usually want 10 bucks a month, but when it come time to renew say it costs to much and they usually offer me 25 bucks for 5 or 6 months.
