Has anyone thought of using wedge bulbs? this would involve drilling using 4 low profile 194 wedge LED bulbs with wire harness

only thing it can be used with is LED's for all the lights to keep amperage low since you can only have about 30watts for each brake light

this would allow the back up lights to stay in place.

when I'm talking low profile 194 led bulbs that are flat

It'll probably look like crap. There have been several failed attempts to do LED quad tails and on one is ever happy with the results.

maybe some Optical fiber no reflector would be required then.

plus the lighting would look more natural

Not only that the LEDs can be external from the housing that would allow the back up lights to stay intact. (this would also allow for higher wattage leds & higher profile LEDs )

I've played around with the idea of working with something like this with the extra set of tails I have, but never seem to have the time.

Using those as the brake lights and turn signal, and then another smaller set of rings to act as the normal tail lights.
