After repairing various leaks in my cooling system...elbows...and radiator...Im still having issues with heat.

After performing the maintenance, I serviced the and bleed the system.

Im now having questionable heat issues....The heat output seems to work fine some times, but other times it seems to only feel barely warm.

I realize I could have a slightly clogged heater core or possibly an air pocket...but what I want to know is there an actual temperature the heat is supposed to produce? As in a number spec that GM would test for?

I have an alldatadiy account, but couldnt find anything about temperature specifications.

dont know the temp, but have to looked into the blend door? could be a faulty actuator. Could also be an issue with the control unit.

Is the heat producing at all times or is it cold at certain times? is it cold at idle then warms up during acceleration? or is it just hot and cold when it wants to be? I'm not aware of a "specific temp" that the heater core is supposed to blow out since it runs off of the engines coolant to supply it's heat.

Im not sure whats going on....for example:

Today was cold for where I live (FL). I left work and it was 43 outside. I know its not that cold but its pretty cold for FL.

On the drive home today, the heat could barely heat the car up to a comfortable temp. Engine temp was ~190.

The heat was set to full hot, but felt only slightly warmer than ambient. Passenger side was the same.

Have you tried purging the system of any air yet? I'd start there and if that isn't the issue, I'd suspect a plugged heater core.

Yeah Ive tried to bleed the air out. This car has been weird with heat for a few years now. I did a pressure flush of the heater core about 2 years ago.

I already have the parts to do a LIM gasket, water pump, elbow replacement. I may just do it all at once to be safe.

I'm inclined to agree with Scott. It seems like there might be something wrong with the blend door.
