I have not driven my car for a week until this morning. When applying the brakes I feel the brakes grabbing normally at first but then the brake pedal feels soft and continues to travel down. The care stops but there is alot more pedal travel than I am used to. The brake fluid level is at the split line of the reservoir. Thoughts?

EDIT: One of the brake lines under the car has failed!! Spitting out brake fluid every time I push on the pedal. I can see the stream of brake fluid coming down under the car at about the pillar location between the front and back doors. Had the car towed back to my house. No way I was going to drive it home.
