So I purchased a 00 impala base model , it didn't come with a keyless entry remote so I bought one off ebay, and attempted to do the programming myself as I have done on other gm vehicles I've owned . The issue is , the stock radio that is in our car , is about as stock as it comes , since there is no tape or cd , and as in the programming there is no display button or anything of the sort, I've searched everywhere and can't seem to get any real answers . If need be I can post a picture of my radio to show you guys what I mean but this thing is basic, almost stone age lol , any and all help is greatly appreciated, and any way for me to save money and not bring the car to the stealership would be a huge bonus also..

thanks

I think the display button is pushing inward on the tuning (bottom) knob...but I could be wrong. I haven't had my old radio in my car for a loooong time.

Best way to test the alarm is to roll down the window and open it from the inside when the alarm is turned on.

This should set it off even when opened from the inside.(at lest it does that on my car)

No, the headlight switch resets the stored tire circumference information in the ABS computer for the low tire pressure warning light.

Procedure:
Insert key in IGN.
Hold UNLOCK button on LF door.
Cycle key ON-OFF-ON-OFF. (ON=ACC in some cars)
Release UNLOCK button on door.
Door locks will cycle to confirm programming status.
Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK together on the remote you want to program.
Door locks will cycle to confirm programming success.
Turn key to RUN to exit programming.
