Trying to remove the plast-dip from this SS spoiler to paint it silver. It peels off pretty easily from the under/backsides,but not so easily from the top where the original clear was just about gone. My thumbs are getting raw.

I have read the can regarding cleanup and/or tip unclogging...but any other suggestions on something to help break it down are welcomed.

Thanx

This stuff peels off pretty easily. I was able to peel it of the trim on my car is good hunks. You can try heating it up so it can come off easier. Notably a heat gun. (industrial hairdryer.)

Yeah,I saw that and did a lil' more diggin' on Google/DipDissolver...I'm gonna try GooGone and some citrus degreaser. Will update.

Update;
Ok,seems like GooGone is the ticket. Sprayed it on,let it soak,and used a "tint/decal squeegee" to scrape/wipe off the majority of the dip. It comes right off.I'll get the rest with a rag,which doesn't look to be a problem at all.

Smile

Thanx
