on an 04 impala LS 3.8 20000 kms ,is it possable to add a factory super charger. what would be involved? can anyone help.???

Nothing but a weekend in the garage with some buddies and beer really if you take it slow. It's a great upgrade that every 3.8L needs! Also is a great time to change a bunch of gaskets, coolant flush, oil change, plugs and wires.

is it basically a straight bolt on or do you need to flash the computer.how much do ya need for the parts if they are not sold.???

Itll cost anywhere from 300-500 for parts, plus a couple hundred in gaskets, and the fluids.

You do need to tune the PCM for it, so add that cost in.

As far as time frame, you're basically tearing the engine down to the block and building it back up. Could be done in an afternoon/evening saturday, or if you take it slow, a weekend

I thought the tranny would have to be addressed / not play well...am I mistaken?

Not strictly necessary, but considering they are made of glass and can barely handle a stock L36 it would be wise to budget for trans upgrades/rebuilds as well.

This.

You CAN do a basic top swap for about 500. BUT, to make it reliable, It'd be closer to 1g (IMO of reliablility).

Yes I would suggest headers also. That or a incar tune. Drown all the kr with fuel lols.
