ZSPOT was tellin' me to go DEXRON 6 fluid-wise,but the owner's manual says DEXRON III...not doubting him, just that he has not elaborated on that for me.
So,I'm hoping you guys can in the interim,as I realize he could be a busy man.
From what I gather, the filter is not a big issue as far as manufacturer or price...but I'll heed all advice regarding that as well.

Thanx for any feedback Smile

Dexron 6 didn't exist when your car was made. Anything newer is fine, same as engine oil. I put Dexron 6 in my 05, & it's fine. My ATF fluid level is the same as 1 year ago. They do it all the time at the Chevy dealer where I worked, as it's backwards compatible. No one at that dealer has ever had a problem when putting Dexron 6 into a car calling for Dexron 3. GARY

Thanx for the confirmation 9C3...and ZSPOT's recent PM.

6 is all good. Simply improved over the 3, it's been in my car for a long time now... 4, maybe 5 years?
