I need to order new FOB's for the car. I see they some in the standard and one with Remote Start. How would I know if it had remote? The car didn't come with any fobs. Ebay says free programming but it is do it your self. Is it that easy?

Yes it's very easy to program them your self

Plus it de-authorizes the old FOB's.
This is great if you do not want previous owner stealing your car or stealing stuff from your car. As the alarm still goes off if you use the key to open it and the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery or using the FOB

Factory radio required.

The remote you want is

Wouldn't the OP want to verify his VIN at the dealer to see if his car came equipped with remote start to get the correct FOB? I'd go to the parts dept, give them your VIN, & they'll get you the correct FOB your car is supposed to have. GARY

I don't believe the 2000-2005 Impala ever had remote start as an option.

It looks like all models across the board had keyless entry, and the number provided above by Impala_03 is the correct number.

My 05 Impala did not come with keyless entry. So if I went to the dealer parts dep't with my VIN, they would not come up with a part number for a fob. However, if I didn't give them a VIN, or if they turned the VIN filter off, they would come up with the above listed part number. GARY

your car is a 9C3, most rule dont apply to them. ZSpot is referring to the masses with civilian model cars, therefore Base, LS, LS Sport, SS and SS Indy all had keyless entry.
