Hi, I'm considering getting some new rims for my '02 LS and I really like the look of the current (well, older now, I guess) model LTZ rims.
I believe they go by part number #5333.
18x7 Thin Flat Double 5 Spoke

The thing is, they're 18 inch wheels while my car has these 16 inch wheels: #5245.
16x6.5 Thin Vaned 20 Slot

Is it possible to fit the newer LTZ rims on my car?

They will fit, but the rear tires may rub on the strut plate if you go with the stock 235/50R18 tire size.

I'd like to go with some lower profile tires also. Will that improve things?

I have 245/45/18's and they fit fine. My old set was 235/50/18, they fit fine but were very, very close to the strut plate's on the rear's when they were new. As they wore it opened more space.
Both sizes worked on my car but I prefer the 245/45/18's

x2 on the 245/45R18. That's the closest you'll get to stock height withour rubbing.
