I still have a couple degrees of knock at WOT with 93 octane and would like to get some track times today, will octane boost help? Or do more harm than good.

Mods are: k&n intake, overkill PCM, power log, 3" DP, magnaflow stainless 2.5" cat back, 3.5" pulley, 1.9 yells terra rockers, shift kit.

How much KR are you getting?

What will really help is getting rid of the k&n and getting a TRUE CAI

Racing fuel? Yeah, it's also leaded...

So what's the verdict? Octane boost ok for the strip? Racing fuel ok? Not ok?

If I recall right, leaded fuels will ruin the catalytic converter, but I don't know how fast. If you're catted, I probably wouldn't fuel the car with race gas - just because the fuel you'd use at the strip might be a gallon, but you'll likely put in at least 3 or 4 times that much to ensure your pump isn't scavenging.

Octane boost is fine, just might not help a TON

I'd be more worried about the race gas effect on the O2 sensors!

That KR is completely normal if your skip shifting from 3rd to 1st... esp if your line pressure is increased along with having the shift kit installed...

Does the KR go away after you have downshifted and are into first or does it stay through 1st gear?

I've had that exact KR happen when doing a skip shift so I'd be safe to say it's normal. That's just my experience with it 2 Cents

it's unleaded here , you mix with 91 to get 93 octane.(for expensive cars such as porsche) since 93 octane is not sold anywhere.

100 octane will run you about $6 to $9 a gallon though.
121 octane is the HIGHEST you can buy locally very expensive. 15$ a gallon.
