This 4t65e transmission is junk still having issues with 1st gear.

Transmission shop finely got all the other gears working great but now 1st gear sucks slipping a kicking into second gear 2,3,4 & R work perfect.
I checked the transmission fluid and has nothing on the dip stick when car is warmed up and turned on

says to check when transmission is in park and hot and running dip stick shows nothing on it "in park". Dry as a bone.

when off its shows the two dots filled

Close to giving up on this car and taking it to the local crushing yard.

edit bought a qt of Castrol USA - Transmax DEXRON III at the full line when running

If your dipstick is dry when you are checking it while the car is running, you are low. Top it off while the engine is running until you read full on the dipstick and you should be good to go.
