Anybody know what wrench size the threaded brake line fittings are (the ones at the ends of the metal tubing) on an '04 Impala? I'm assuming they are metric.
Thanks.

Which end specifically - the master cylinder and ABS end, or on the calipers? Front or rear?

Front. The threaded fitting that screws into the fitting on the flexible hose.

I wanna say 10mm, but its been a while since I've touched them.

Get a set of flare wrenches, I got mine from Harbor Freight for like $8, has all the metric sizes from 6 to 14 or so. They come in real handy for any kind of brake or fuel line work. Dont even think about trying to do brake hoses without the right wrenches!

This... over and over again. When I started changing out my brake lines, I tried to do it with a regular set of wrenches. Nearly rounded out one of the hard lines and immediately got a set of flare wrenches and it was a cake walk after that.

The flared wrenches from Auto Zone (Great Neck brand?) suck...don't get them.
