Got my self a leather shift knob how do I install it ?
OEM leather shift knob from monte carlo

I got it with a grab bag of impala parts.

Everyone talks about a "screw" somewhere but never a "image" of this screw.

it uses the same one as the impala, except the button is gray instead of black.\

Its a clip on the front near the bottom, you use a flathead screwdriver to pry it out. Kind of looks like a staple. Then it just pulls out.

You can take the grey button off and replace it with the black one from your old shifter, looks much better IMO..

I circled what you are looking for. It's tough to see unless you know its there. As outonthetiles said, just pull the little clip out and the knob will lift straight up.

Thanks got it install only took less then 30 seconds to swap everything out .

With all this time left over I can use the time and swap out my a/c controllor since the switch is no good ()

Now on to the next thing: swapping out the interior A/C & heater control
