I believe this makes you the first person on this forum with a 2014 Impala. Let us know how it treats you.

What's the deal with the slide up screen? Is that a USB port behind it?

Yes to the USB port. And the vid on chevy.com, the lady plugs up her iPhone and sits it in there so she won't use it while driving. But I use it for my screen cloth and wallet. It's deeper than it looks in the pic.

Morning, Tommy. It's John from the CMF. Welcome!! Nice to see you're going to be the "go-to" guy for answers about your new ride. That's what happens to all pioneers. Get ready to be bombarded. The new ride is sweet, maybe after these things get cycled through their initial 24 month leases, I might be inclined to pick one up. So, on the 2LT you get TV's in the headrests for the kiddies. That's quite a surprise. The legroom on the 06-13 Imp's was impressive, probably alot more than what you were used to in the 'Bu. Enjoy and keep the group entertained. Peace, John

Hey what's going on buddy. The Go-to guy is cool with me. I'll be glad to help anyone.

I think you should get one. This machine is awesome!

This didn't come with TV's I just installed them yesterday. I got them from onfair.com

And yea the leg room on this is great. I lean back and have the seat all the way back, and there is still a ton of room.

Tommy, getting a '14 would be awesome, it would warm this Wolverine's heart to have a buckeye pay for it for me, LOL J/K Our '07 Imp was the 3LT which was just about as close to an LTZ as one could get aside from the Bose. Our '10 'Bu is an LTZ, and it is a fantastic car. Unfortunately the wife drives it all the time, and she has quickly fallen out of love with it. It doesn't have the flip and fold rear seat (which was handy for transporting our greyhounds), not the power (3.9 to the 'Bu's 2.4) and she couldn't park it straight if Monte Hall had 100 bucks in his hand. I agree the turning radius of the Malibu borders on pickup truck territory for some reason. I'd almost trade her my 06 Focus for the Malibu, but frankly the Foci can outperform the 'Bu in handling and I like that. Peace, John

I thought I was the only person that thought the Malibu turning radius sucks balls. Glad to know I'm not crazy. Laughing

You totally have to plan on what parking space you're going to take at the local mall. You don't have the capability of just whipping into a spot. To hit a right side parking spot, you have to farmer turn the d*** car to the left before making a graceful arc into the spot. Not exactly a safe thing to do in a crowded lot with folks more focused on cell phones, Talking, or otherwise just not looking before pulling out of their spot. I'm a darned good "Back into the spot" park-er, but the 'Bu challenges me every time. Thank God for those ping pong paddle sized mirrors. Peace, John
