Is this a normal temp to be running at? I've always liked it a lil less then the 1/2 way point, but recently its been running a lil more, even if I put coolant in it. I did a radiator flush @ 137k, I'm currently @ 169k.

Even here in Florida when it's 95 outside, my gage never gets to half way. With the A/C on, it runs even cooler because the fans are forced to run whenever the A/C is running. If I'm stuck in traffic, & it's 95 outside, it might almost touch the center line, but my car does have the HD rad. My engine is the 3800. Check the therm. GARY

thats about 215, too high. Should be 1/2 way. Mid point is 200 and should run at 195 - 205

Thought that was too high, It'll get to that mark and eventually get to around 1/2 once I'm driving. I'll check the T stat tmrw if the weather is good.

So if mine runs at half in traffic that's normal? And normal if it occasionally goes 1 or 2 marks over then comes back down?

That's normal because of the heat not being able to go anywhere besides what the fans blow inside the engine bay. I had that happen on my old Impala.
