Has anybody done this? I see a few places online have some writeups of it but they are a bit confusing on what wires I need to tap into

I don't think anyone here as wired up a mini plug to the stock stereo.

When I still had my stock stereo, I had used an older version of this harness. http://www.amazon.com/Spec-Pa1.....B003SVCRYU It was an easy no fuss way to get an aux input.

Here's what I'm looking at doing http://www.gmfullsize.com/foru.....amp;page=7

I've got the parts and have the radio all apart just wanted to know if anyone knows for sure what wires.
Your suggestion would be great if it was $10 but for $100 I'd buy the jvc 730bt I've been wanting. Just want to put this jack in until I have the extra cash to buy the jvc

I know exactly what you want to do, but to my knowledge no one here has done it with an Impala radio. Unfortunately, GM doesn't keep everything consistent across platforms so you might have to guess.

I did dig up this old thread that indicates that Topgun may have given it a go. Shoot him a PM and see if he wen through with it.
