I have a leak by the firewall somewhere I remember reading on here a while back something about coolant elbows breaking... i tried the search button and got nothing anyone have a link to a thread that can help me on this issue thanks!

If its your elbows and the imp isn't your DD then I'd suggest getting some elbows from zzp.

Dorman makes those metal elbows, and can be bought at any Car Quest, Oreilly's or Napa now. The seals on them still suck though.

This. If you want the metal elbows, do yourself a favor and buy a set of the GM ones to get the OEM seals. Looking at the GM seals vs the Dorman ones, it's clearly evident that the Dorman ones are inferior.

GM still makes the plastic ones. As long as you don't make a habit of removing the belt tensioner, I can't think of a reason why you would need the metal ones. Sure they are nice and you won't have to worry about them, but I replaced the elbows on my Monte Carlo at about 80k and they were still good at 135k when I sold the car.
