My mother in law just got an 04 impala and the drivers side roof rail , im not sure of the correct term , is gone . I know roof rails form the se gtps and gps.but not the correct name for the boring piece .

Also he car is maroon so im guessing both are going to need to be replaced and just leave them black .

I can't remember for sure, but I thought the roof rails fit all the W-bodies except the Impala. I vaguely recall someone trying and found out that they were off just enough that it wouldn't work well.

So I think we are talking about three different things now. 1)the stock trim for the roof rails, 2) Grand Prix Roof rails and 3) Roof Racks. Ramair, what are you talking about?

OK, I think he is looking for the roof joint molding. Part numbers are 88987582 and 88987583. The part is seen here (number 2). http://parts.nalleygmc.com/sho.....bly=402462

Unfortunately it looks like they are only available unpainted.

Please don't do this....roof rails don't fit, would be cool though....tried it.....not sure how they come off but maybe a wreckers would be able to help you?
