Hey all. Haven't been here in a while. Hope I can get some help here. If there's a thread about this feel free to point it out, but I haven't found anyone yet with the same problem.

Since it's been so cold here in Philly, I've been having the airbag light come on. Fixable issue, right? Well now, while the airbag light is on, the instrument panel will shut off, seemingly reset (or attempt to do so) and the battery light in the message center, and the "BRAKE" light will come on, the airbag light will flash as if I've just started the car, and if I'm driving will go back to the correct speed, gas level, etc. One time it reset so many times that the security light came on. Even though I was driving, but the car never stalled or even gave any indication that it would stall.

When I start the car, it doesn't chime like it should, but if the instrument cluster resets while I'm in park, it will chime as if I've just started the car.

I'm hoping this is something like a loose wire somewhere, but I'm afraid of a BCM issue.

Have you checked the battery to make sure it's still good? When mine was on it's way out, I had a whole bunch of problems with my cluster and the idiot lights.

If you wait till it warms up a bit outside your problems may go away.
I have my security light coming on when it's around 20 or below, so on the way to work it comes on. Never agan the whole day and only again the next morning if it's cold out. Advice from guys on NAIOA suggest a BCM problem.
I do have some weired radio issues also, these happen no matter what the temp, may be BCM related. Cool

Could also be the ignition switch, they are know to go out and cause similar issues to the BCM, especially cluster issues

Could it be the passlock system trying to find the chip? I did try a different key with no change.

Since it's a little warmer today, there was no weird resetting going on, but the airbag light is still on. I'm gonna have to watch it and see.
