Hey everyone! I'm having an issue with a rubbing/squeaking noise coming from the driver's side of the dashboard. It sounds like it is coming from where the dashboard and a-pillar meet. It is not a constant noise and changing the temp/heat doesn't seem to effect it. It doesn't happen going over every bump in the road or anything. I did notice the a-pillar has some play in it, could a clip or something have broken? I know GM interiors aren't the quietest, but this noise is driving me crazy. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
Make sure to check all the trim pieces under the dash and steering column. I had an infuriating squeek for a while that was the result of my incorrectly seating the panel under the steering wheel. If that doesn't help you have two options. 1) ignore it and 2)tear the dash apart to the find the loose screw/bolt.
Protip: If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it.
