Bought my wife an 03 LS, Didn't need a paint job but since we bought a custom hood, we decided to paint the whole car black metallic. Should be done this weekend. I am gonna be following along on here getting some mod ideas. I mainly hang on the Monte Carlo forum but sold my 07 SS and now have a Mustang GT. Her car has the LS appearance package also. Some mods I would like is the SLP grille, switch over to some noise with duals and tint. I already have my 18's from my Monte on it. Tried to post a pic but didnt show up. Have to figure that part out.

Welcome to NAIOA

I too have a 2003 but I don't drive it anymore since it's being taken apart in my garage.

Would be pretty cool if you can post up some pics. More info the the custom hood? The SLP grille would be a great choice or if you can't get your hands on that then I would go with the indy grille. For duals, you should see if you can find the GMPP exhaust. It's out of production but sometimes it pops up on this forum for sale or you could search other forums/craigslist/ect.

Also if no currect mods are done yet, you should also look into supporting mods such as the intake and exhaust. There are alot of options for intakes but in my opinion anything is better then the restrictive box, even moddifing the box has show alittle improvement, atleast in sound Twisted Evil. Personally I would go with a homemade CAI (cold air intake) or go and buy nice powdercoated one from jmbperformance.com.

For sure you have come to the right place, alot of knowledgable people here and no trolls. Ask any question you think of, it may be hard to search since the search button is down but its always fun to scroll through the many pages of threads.

Its the Spyder 3 hood from Andy's Auto Sport. Can't say I recommend it. That hood was a joke. High/low spots, pinholes. you name it. I emailed them but they just said they would let their supplier know. We must have spent 30 hours on that thing getting it straightened up. I used photobucket and tried to add these pics. Hopefully they will work. From Anderson.

I can't say I've seen that hood on an Impala aside from the crappy photo shop jobs. Please post some more photos when you get it all together.

Can't wait to see that hood. Looks intimidating. Nice job cleaning it up!
