All of a sudden, from about 30mph I start to get a bad shimmy /vibration. It ends if I take my foot off the gas. Could this be an axle or something else? IT's not the mounts, just had all of that checked when two steering hoses were replaced.

Thanks!

can be all sorts of things. Out of balance tire, bad hub, bad tie rods, ball joints, control arms, broken belt in tire, etc.

Id start with an inspection of the tires and maybe a rebalance.

If not, get the car in the air and start checking suspension parts for unusual movement.

Does the vibration favor the driver or passenger side, could be a half shaft, but I agree, check all the suspension stuff first.

Just for future folks. It seems my tranny mount and engine mount went bad soon after the steering hose replacements. We were hoping once they were replaced, and no longer resting on the axles Shocked , the shimmy would stop.

It did not. I needed BOTH trans axles.

Now for the strut assembly replacements and new tires.

I still swear, I will never get rid of this car!!!! Twisted Evil

thanks for the help guys!!! Very Happy
