I've noticed a power shortage in my car for months, takes two turns to crank up, my lights dim whenever I use the windows or play music. But TODAY was the luck.for a while my car hesitated to switch to second gear so I saved up some money for a trans repair but now I've got a new problem. I was driving and then my battery light came on, then the traction system needed service, then the airbag light came on then finally my car said low fuel "with a full tank". A police officer jumped my car for about 10 minutes and my car started up but it all happened again 2 miles down the road. I just made my first mortgage payment and I'm in no position to purchase another car. PLEASE HELP!!!!! I

just from the description, I'd say alternator. If you can get a multimeter, start making the usual checks at the battery when at rest and when idleing.

Defective battery and/or poor battery cable terminal connections.

I would say battery for sure. Probably the alternator is bad as well. ^^^

Have the battery checked for dead cells. If it checks out then go straight for the alternator.
